Its been a while...

Sorry for the absence. I have been running around like a headless chicken of late. What with having to do the family duties- i.e. going over to N. Wales for mother's birthday and OH wading into the sea to "rescue" Erics favourite toy. Also with Union stuff- organising a speaker for the next Regional Energy Forum, saving some ungrateful peoples jobs and locking horns with all levels of Company HR from director to footsoldiers. I have been in a perpetual state of fatigue and eating badly -dashing a sandwich here, choccy bar there.

I am not employed by the Union but it takes up a hellva an amount of my time. I recently did a time movement study on my working poatterns and I am generally working a 65 hour week at present. Combining that with running a home and trying to be there for Eric and OH is difficult to say the least. As well as having to be a saint when all you want to do is smack some of your beloved Union members in the face.

Being a twentysomething female Trade Unionist in a world of Middle Aged /Elderly White males can get a bit hairy sometimes but lately it has taken the biscuit. Thursday I was prepping for my run in with the directors and this chap (65 and a lovely guy) decided to bend over me (I was sitting down) and stick his tongue down my ear!!! yuck!!! Better get the police batons out for next weekend at the Energy Seminar - cause it gets even worse when they are drunk... last year it was difficult gentally telling the middle agedSouth Walian balding Elvis a-like (complete with sideburns) that he REALLYwasn't my type and even if I was ..I didn't think his wife would be impressed!.

Anyway on the up side -being a stress bunny paid off as I got back my first essay in my Certificate. A B grade. I was delighted till the next post which has brought my next essay title...and deflation when one of the questions was gobbledegook.

here we go again... Stress bunny. Now gonna go and consol Eric as the muppetts behind have decided to have their fireworks tonight. Do they not understand that TOMORROW is bonfire night... grrr...
